As you can see above.. It is the cherry blossom or also known as the Sakura by the Japanese. And yes it is the national flower of Japan. Most place in Japan had Cherry Tree. And it is ascenic view when spring comes.
Apart from that, the flower used as the Royal Seal was Chrysanthemum.
